Please continue to think of us. We are riding a roller coaster of ups and downs. The ups aren't quite as high as we are used to, and the downs are much deeper then we have known before. We know this is just part of the adjustment process, but it is a little overwhelming at times. We are so thankful for all that you have done to get us here and keep us here! We especially love hearing from you. Nothing is more encouraging then checking our email and seeing that you have written to us and that you are committed to thinking of us and the happenings here! With your help, we are continuing to push forward with the hopes to see fruit that lasts, both here and around the world. You are an important part of this process. We couldn't farm without you!
Our encouragement to you today is this: look up. Don't look to the right or left, don't let that storm distract you. Remember who is with you! This is something we are trying to do daily, moment to moment. Not easy for some reason. The wind howls and the rain falls relentlessly without fail! But, we need only look. Not move, not do--only look. He makes it as simple as possible for us. Together, thinking of each other, we can look to him and that storm will cease. Eventually, it will cease. Phew!

ReplyDeleteAs I was reading over your posts I was thinking how much many things you've said or experienced make me recall times in our past. We could see mountains out our window when we lived in Italy, and we used one of our bedrooms there to be our school room. Even the smell part, from a few blogs back--we lived across the street from a dairy once. We got used to the smell to the point that when our neighbor was trying to sell their house and a buyer asked us if it always had that smell we said, "What smell?" Ha! Even now, as a solar-powered gal in the land of cold and darkness, I often say that George has given me contentment in the land of my captivity. If that has been done for a "captive" I'm certain it can be done for those who have gone their willingly--even in those "we aren't in Kansas anymore" moments. Let Grace and Peace kiss!
