A time of refreshing . . .

Wow, it feels like it's been quite a while since I made our last post.  In mid January our Father surprised us with an opportunity to take a family vacation and retreat to a nicer part of the country.  It was so refreshing! We had such a wonderful time being together as a family and did a lot of reflecting over the last semester and what He is doing in our lives.  We stayed at two different retreat centers, met a lot of great folks, did a lot of soul searching, and had a lot of fun.

The second retreat center was on an island.  It was so beautiful.  We felt so rested and refreshed.

I couldn't help it.  The blue sky was so breath taking!

Thanks for thinking of us while we were away.  We were all healthy, happy and rested.  Spending an extended time away as a family and enjoying each other was a precious gift.

And, what we also came for . . . "real" food to take back with us!

We are excited to send out our next letter.  Father revealed so much to us and gave us a lot of direction and encouragement, though, much of it was unexpected. But that is what is great about Him isn't it?  Full of surprises, some that look like valleys yet some that look like a puzzle coming together.  It doesn't make much sense when the puzzle pieces are scattered on the table, but when the pieces are put together, it's a beautiful picture.  We kind of feel like last semester was a thousand piece puzzle scattered on a table.  However, the picture we are seeing, now that it's completed, isn't what we thought it would look like yet we are really excited about what we see!

We look forward to filling you in more when we send out our letter in the next week or two.  Know that we appreciate you and are thinking of you always.  So thankful for you!
